You love the Britax Marathon, now meet the Britax Marathon CS Convertible Car Seat. Fully equipped with Britax’s Click & Safe harness indicator, the Britax Marathon CS lets you know when the harness is tight enough for maximum safety. You also get a high 65 lb forward-facing capacity and Side Impact Protection.
* Side Impact Protection
* Click & Safe harness indicator clicks when the harness is tight
* High forward-facing seat capacity for safety and comfort
* For children rear facing from 5 to 35 lbs and forward-facing from at least one-year-old and 20 lbs up to 65 lbs
Benefits for You: The Britax Marathon CS installs easily using either seat belts or LATCH. Convenient belt holders keep the harness straps to the sides while you place your child in the car seat. The front harness adjuster makes adjustment easy when loosening or tightening the harness system.
Installation: Install the Marathon CS rear facing from 5 to 35 lbs and forward facing from at least one-year-old and 20 lbs up to 65 lbs.
Before turning your child forward-facing at one-year, consider keeping them rear-facing until 2 or until they reach the rear-facing weight limit. Guidelines from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) declare that rear-facing until 2 keeps kids safest.
When placing your child in the car seat, pull the harness until your hear two clicks. The clicks let you know that the harness is tight enough to prevent your child from sustaining serious injury in the event of an impact.
The Britax Marathon CS offers built-in lock-offs for secure ‘no locking clip’ seat belt installation. A push button release LATCH system with Versa-Tether ensures an easy installation with a secure fit.
The Marathon CS offers a small contoured base for a tight installation in most vehicles. The rear and forward-facing recline ensures proper positioning in your car.
Benefits for Baby: High density comfort foam creates an extra layer of padding to gently cushion your child.
The patented HUGS system better distributes webbing loads to reduce head movement and minimize the chance for webbing edge loading on the child’s neck in the case of an impact. The Side Impact Protection wings not only protect in collisions, they also provide support for baby’s head when they nod off to sleep.
In the event of a collision, the energy absorbing base deforms to absorb impact forces. The Versa-Tether technology introduces staged-release tether webbing that anchors the top of the seat at two points to minimize forward movement in the crash.
* Side Impact Protection
* 5-point Harness
* Click & Safe system ensures proper harness tension
* Meets or exceeds FMVSS 213
