Stokke is one of the premier manufacturers in baby gear. It was founded in 1932 in Alesund, Norway, by the Stokke family, and has been lead by them for all these years.
Stokke started out as a company looking to manufacture quality furniture, for different target consumers, that is safe and durable. In 1972 Stokke introduced their famous, innovative child’s chair, the Tripp Trapp. It’s creation was the embodiment of Stokke’s philosophy “Growing Together”. The chair starts off as a baby high chair but grows with the child to become a regular chair that can be used through adulthood.
Stokke has gone on to create a whole line of baby gear products. Since 2006 Stokke has focused almost exclusively on baby gear. In addition to the Tripp Trapp their line currently includes 3 strollers: Xplory, Crusi, and Scoot, a baby carrier, and the Handy Sitt (a portable high chair). All their products support their endeavor to create products that are helping you and your baby to keep “Growing Together” through encouraging baby and parent interaction. They do this by providing safe environments that encourage safe physical and emotional stimulation.
Coming up next from Stokke is the Steps All-in-One seating system. What is the Steps All-in-One? The Scandinavian ergonomics of this genius product gives your child the perfect seating from day one. It starts off as a bouncer for infants and changes into different configurations with each stage of the child’s development, from infant to baby, to toddler, to youngster. It’s practical, durable, storage space saving, and an economical choice.
