Cybex Cloud Q
Cybex is full of surprises, and we’re here to share one of the best ones with you! The new Cybex Cloud Q infant seat will be debuting next week at the ABC Show and it’s one brilliant seat!
One convenient aspect of an infant car seat is that it can be transferred to a stroller and become a travel system. However, there is a big concern in the medical community that it is not healthy for baby’s spine to be kept in an infant seat for long periods of time.
The Cybex Cloud Q offers the perfect solution to this dilemma. It is the first ever infant car seat that, when used on a stroller, can recline completely, becoming a carry cot! A clever mechanism allows the back rest to recline completely, and the foot end of the seat flattens out and extends to perfectly support the baby.
And the Cybex Cloud Q can still be used in the car, of course, offering the same outstanding safety as the Aton 2 and Aton Q. The base comes with a Load Leg and the seat also has the telescoping LSP (Linear Side-Impact Protection). It will work on all Cybex strollers, including the NEW Cybex Priam.
The Cybex Cloud Q seat will be available in Autumn Gold, True Blue, Moon Dust, Black Beauty, & Grape Juice. The Cloud Q Plus seat with upgraded fabrics will be available in True Blue, Autumn Gold, and Black Beauty. The Cloud Q will be retailing for $399.95 (subject to change).
Which strollers are compatible with the Cybex Cloud Q?
According to Cybex, all strollers that are compatible with the AtonQ are compatible with the new Cloud Q.
The Cloud Q seat is expected to arrive Spring 2016

Hi Alicia, The CLoud Q will be available at the beginning of 2015. We don’t have information on compatibility as of yet, however because the Aton Q won’t work with the Baby Jogger single strollers, we are assuming that the Cloud Q won’t either.

The Aton Q IS compatible with all of the Baby Jogger Strollers. So will the aton cloud Q. Almost Anything that is compatible with Maxi Cosi Is compatible with Cybex.

Is the Cloud q compatible with all the strollers the Aton is compatible with? Do they use the same fastening mechanisms? I’m looking at the Mima Xari stroller, which is compatible with the Aton, but not sure if the Cloud would work.

My baby is due in june, however we have reason to believe that he will come a bit sooner. I really like this car seat and expected it to be here already. Do you advise that I just purchase another cybex infant car seat or wait? I don’t want to wait and not have a seat when he arrives, but then I don’t want to get another one and then a week later the cloud q comes out. Please advise me on what to do.

Hi Jodi – Cybex has just informed us that the seat is expected late summer. I don’t suggest you wait – take a look at the Aton Q also from Cybex.

Hi liyana – because we have not received the new car seat as of yet, we did not test the compatibility. However as per Cybex, the Cloud Q is compatible with all adapters that are compatible with the Aton seats.

There is so so much that needs to be done in order to have a car seat approved by the United States. The Cloud Q needed a lot of tweaking and modifying in order for it to pass the safety tests. It’s definitely taking a lot longer than expected… I’m sorry..

Was at a baby store the other day, the new cybex cloud would not fit on the baby jogger city select adapter. The Anton fits but not the cloud. The cloud does fit on the uppa baby double though.
Is there is a different adapter for the city select I (we) should know about?
