Mountain Buggy Nano
With another new tiny-fold travel stroller on the market, the GB Qbit, we all want to know how it compares to the popular Mountain Buggy Nano. Being that the Qbit hasn’t been released just yet, we haven’t had a chance to compare it thoroughly, but this is a basic overview so far.
How are they similar? Both strollers are amazing travel strollers that fold up so tiny, they can fit into the overhead compartment on most airplanes. The strollers are car seat compatible as well, with the Maxi Cosi Mico, Cybex Aton and their respective coordinating car seats as well. It’s definitely easier to use a car seat with the Qbit over the Nano.

GB Qbit
The Qbit is taller, narrower, and isn’t as long as the Mountain Buggy Nano. The Qbit can hold up to 55 lbs vs the Nano’s 44 lbs weight capacity, however the Qbit weighs almost 2 lbs more. The canopy on the new Qbit is significantly larger than that of the Nano, offering more coverage for your little one. The backpanel of the Qbit is covered properly, unlike the mesh panel on the Nano.
The QbitΒ has double wheels, the Nano has four single wheels throughout – single wheels are easier to manuever. The Nano’s footrest is adjustable, while the Qbit’s is not. Both strollers include a great travel bag, and the Nano’s is designed to have the wheels stick out so that the bag can be rolled when the stroller is inside. The underseat basket is large on both strollers and the adjustable harnesses are padded, however the Qbit’s harness is more comfortable. Β Both have easy pedal foot brakes and 2 position seat recline, however the Nano’s recline is a bit deeper. They both feature built in rear wheel suspension.
In terms of the fold – the Nano’s fold is slightly smaller, however the fold on the Qbit is significantly easier.

Between the mountain buggy nano and the new GB Qbit how would the 2 strollers compare to the baby zen yoyo? I know the yoyo was the first I knew about with the most compact fold but with these other 2 nano & Qbit I would like to know which of these 3 would be better in folded size which would be the smallest? Where I’m from we don’t have stores where I can compare them myself and if I was to compare them myself I would have to purchase each individually plus shipping so any info with sizes open and folded and better handling would be very much appreciated
Ellena
Ok, I hope to be able to cover all of the differences. The YoYo is superior in quality, hence the big price difference. The YoYo folds up the smallest of all three strollers and most people prefer the maneuverability of it over the other two. The YoYo is a bit taller than the other two as well and boasts 4 wheel suspension, as opposed to the 2-wheel on the others. However, the basket on the YoYo is smaller than any of the others, and the seat is narrower. The biggest drawback of the YoYo? It is not car seat adaptable as of yet:( This is a huge disadvantage. If you don’t mind this and you’re ready to spend big bucks on a travel stroller, the Yoyo would be the best pick. However, if you do want a car seat adaptable stroller, like most parents, then the Nano and Qbit are both amazing options. Let me know if you have any other questions.

How would you compare the nano with baby jogger city mini.
Ellena
While the Nano and the City Mini are great lightweight options, they differ in so many ways. The City Mini is a heavier, larger, and more durable stroller with a bit of an easier push, while the Nano is more compact and lightweight. Both can hold a car seat, however the City Mini needs an adapter to make it compatible with an infant seat. The City Mini has three 8″ EVA wheels, while the Nano features 4 small ones.

How would mountain buggy nano be compared to the new Recaro easylife ultra-lightweight (coming out end of July 2015)?
Ellena
The Easylife is not out yet, so we have not pushed them side-by-side, but based on the details we’ve heard of the Easylife it will not be car seat compatible. If you plan on using this from birth, this is a big drawback. The benefits of the Easylife over the Nano are four-wheel, as opposed to the Nano’s 2 wheel suspension and proper coverage for your little one when the seat is reclined. The Nano does have single front wheels which make maneuvering so much easier.

Quick question, can you fold the qbit with the car seat adapters attached?
Ellena
The adapters prevent it from folding all the way down
beatriz
You have to do the comparison with the recaro. That will be great. The 4 strollers sounds great.
Lauren
Is the Qbit compatible with Graco’s Snugride car seats?
Ellena
Hi Lauren – as of yet there is no confirmation that it is:(
Ellena
Hi Beatriz – we agree! The new Recaro Easylife seems to be very very similar to the new Qbit, however it does not seem to be car seat compatible. We’re going to update this post as soon as we get them

When will you do the Recaro Easylife and GB Qbit comparison? The most awesome side-by-side comparison would be:
YoYo/Easylife/Nano/Qbit

So the GB QBIT Stroller comes with the adaptors to put the car seat? i saw that in ten mountain buggy nano but not in th GB QBIT stroller… which of those you think will be more comfortable to travel ny metro and bus in a city???
thanks!
Ellena
Both strollers are car seat compatible – the GB Qbit does hold a car seat better. We recommend the GB Qbit over the Nano.
natalie
The Qbit is only compatible with the couple carseats that GB brand makes. The nano, on the other hand, does not need adapters that are brand specific–it includes cords that can attach any/most carseat model.
Ellena
The current Qbit is actually compatible with Cybex Aton, and Maxi Cosi Mico seats as well.
Cartie
Th GB qbit is compatible with the Nuna Pipa car seat even though it is not listed.

Is the gb qbit compatible with Mesa car seat?
Ellena
It is not.

Is the gb qbit compatible with evenflo car seat?
Ellena
It is not:(
polly
HI, do you know if you need a separate adaptor for the qbit and the Nina pipa?
Ellena
It depends which model Qbit you have. If you have the older Qbit, then the adapters are included that will work with the Nuna Pipa. If you have the newer Qbit, then you need to purchase the additional adapter
jeff leung
I was wondering if you know if the qbit adaptors fit the Chicco Keyfit carseat?
Rachel
Hi Jeff, unfortunately the GB Qbit Car seat adapters will not work with the Chicco Keyfit car seat.
sara tady
Hi! Thanks for the fantastic review. Question – do you think one will perform better in city sidewalks/ cobblestone than another?
Ellena
Both of the strollers have small wheels which are not great on cobblestone. A stroller with single front wheels is definitely easier to maneuver than one with double front wheels.

How would both of these compare to the Uppababy G-Luxe? Pros & Cons
Ellena
The Uppababy G-Luxe is a great umbrella stroller, but because it has two handlebars instead of one, you have a two handed push and a two handed fold. In addition, it cannot hold a car seat.
