With the release of the all-new Bugaboo Ant stroller, we’re fielding dozens of questions on how the new Ant compares to the current lineup of strollers. Our most popular lightweight stroller until now was the UPPAbaby Minu and so many are asking how does the UPPAbaby Minu compare to the Bugaboo Ant?
So we’ve decided to line them up for you to see how they compare!
UPPAbaby Minu vs Bugaboo Ant Weight
The UPPAbaby Minu weighs in at 14.5 lbs, while the new Bugaboo Ant weighs 15.8. There is a 1.3 lb difference between them. If you ask me, that isn’t that significant at all.
UPPAbaby Minu vs Bugaboo Ant Fold
Here is a big difference between the two lightweight strollers. Both strollers fold up tiny tiny. However, the Minu fold uses just one hand and folds down in just one simple step. The Bugaboo Ant fold requires a few steps, and it can be a bit hard until you get the hang of it. Bugaboo worked years on their Ant stroller with the goal of having the fold of the stroller looking as aesthetically pleasing as possible. A great feature on the Ant is that the underseat storage of the stroller remains accessible and usable even when folded! The handlebar of the Ant can also be used as a trolley handle to pull your stroller behind you!
UPPAbaby Minu vs Bugaboo Ant Price
The UPPAbaby Minu retails for $399 and up, while the Bugaboo Ant starts at $499
UPPAbaby Minu vs Bugaboo Ant Fashions
The two strollers are designed completely different when it comes to their fashions. The Bugaboo Ant is made up of two parts – the Base + Style Set. The Minu is sold as a complete stroller.
UPPAbaby Minu vs Bugaboo Ant Seat
Another huge difference is in the seat. The Bugaboo Ant features a reversible seat, which is a first in this industry! This is great for parents who want to keep an eye on their little ones. The seat on the Minu does appear to be a bit wider and deeper.
UPPAbaby Minu vs Bugaboo Ant Weight Capacity
Both strollers can hold children up to 50 lbs
UPPAbaby Minu vs Bugaboo Ant Handlebar
The Ant features an adjustable handlebar which is great for parents of different heights. The Ant handlebar extends to a height of 40.9 inches, while the Minu handlebar remains a fixed height at 42″ from the ground.
UPPAbaby Minu vs Bugaboo Ant Wheels
Both strollers feature 4 wheel suspension for a smooth push and ride! The Minu wheels measure 5″ in the front and 7″ in the back. The Ant wheels measure 5″ in the front and 6″ in the back.
UPPAbaby Minu vs Bugaboo Ant Storage
Both strollers have great storage options for a lightweight stroller. The Minu does feature really great pockets behind the canopy of the seat, which the Bugaboo does not have. Both underseat baskets are fairly accessible and can hold up to around 18 lbs.
UPPAbaby Minu vs Bugaboo Ant Infant Compatibility
Both strollers have options to be able to use it from birth. The From-Birth kit fits onto the Minu stroller perfectly and even be folded together with the stroller. The Bugaboo Bee cocoon fits onto the Ant stroller for the same kind of idea.
